Due to our "island location", we in Bremerhaven are part of the "AboutCities Niedersachsen" marketing association and are very proud of it! The exchange on many topics and projects offers us great added value, such as sustainability.
In June, a total of 17 free InstaMeets will take place in cities in Lower Saxony and Bremerhaven. We are combining our fishing experience with sustainability at the free InstaWalk on June 27 from 11 a.m. to around 8 p.m.!
Our program for the day
We start the day with a delicious fish sandwich at Ingrid's little lighthouse in the Shop Window Fishery Harbor (vegetarian and vegan alternatives are available). A tour guide will lead us through the fishing port and point out all the beautiful, sometimes hidden, photo opportunities.
Then we will go to the Havenwelten. There we will be given an exclusive tour of the marina jetty at im-Jaich. Rüdiger Magowsky will tell us about the hotel's sustainability concept during a cake break in the "Bistro ÜBERSEE". But that's not all!
At Bremerhaven Zoo, we will experience the guided tour "Encounter, inspire, protect: Species conservation and the Zoo by the Sea". This tour in front of and behind the scenes of the zoo focuses on the topic of species conservation.
We will then round off the day with a delicious drink in the New York Bar of The Liberty Hotel Bremerhaven and get an insight into the hotel and its sustainability efforts from the hotel director Christian von Rumohr.
Application form
The requirements for participation are a public Instagram account and at least 100 subscribers. The application can only be submitted via the website www.aboutcities.de/instameet.

What is an InstaWalk?
The term is a combination of the free online photo service Instagram and the English word "walk" for stroll. During our InstaWalks, we lead thematic tours through certain districts of the seaside city of Bremerhaven. Using a camera or smartphone, participants record their impressions and share them on the social network Instagram.
Who can participate?
Whether with a smartphone or a professional camera - anyone who has an Instagram account, at least 100 subscribers and has set it to "public" can apply for the InstaWalk.
How can I apply?
Anyone interested in the Instawalk can register via the application form at www.aboutcities.de/instameet.
Further conditions of participation
Each participant posts at least one post on their own Instagram channel as well as a story slide and links to the organizer's accounts. Each participant will make at least three pictures available to Erlebnis Bremerhaven GmbH afterwards. A usage agreement regulates the use.
Additional notes
- This InstaWalk is not wheelchair accessible.
- It is not possible to bring dogs.
- The participant place is not transferable.
- Liability for accidents and all other damages of any kind are assumed by the individual participants.
- Participation is free of charge.
In addition to Instagram, it is also possible to upload the resulting photos to Facebook and other social media networks. In order to find all images bundled on the social media networks, the following search terms, called "hash tag" by the hash tag symbol, should be used: #instawalkbhv #bremerhavenerleben
